With Lunenburg under a Yellow Snowfall Warning and the potential of up 25 centimetres of snow it’s time to brush up on winter parking rules in the Town of Lunenburg. To make sure plows can clear snow off the roads the Town asks that all vehicles be moved off the street, ideally ahead of the storm. During the December storm, there were 52 cars parked on streets and tickets were issued. The town warns that moving forward vehicles may be towed and could cost $250. Residents can use the off-street parking lots during snow removal for free with no requirement for a permit to use our off-street lots. Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from these lots within eight hours after a storm.
