Beginning Monday, the District of Lunenburg will be handing out water coupons to residents whose wells are dry. The coupons are for drinking and cooking water. The program provides 4 litres of bottled water per person per day up to a maximum of four 4 litre jugs per day per household. Coupons can be picked up at the Municipal Service Building; just email info@modl.ca ahead of time. There are several stores where the coupons can be exchanged.
The locations in which the coupons can be used are:
• Sam’s No Frills, Bridgewater
• The Water Market, Lunenburg
• Nick’s Your Independent Grocer, Mahone Bay
• New Germany Freshmart
