The provincial Domestic Violence Review Committee has released six recommendations to the Nova Scotia justice minister. The review follows a death because of domestic violence. In its report the committee found the quality and level of services provided to survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence by both governmental and non-governmental organizations vary too broadly across the province. In particular they found that services in rural Nova Scotia are not as comprehensive as those in urban areas.
