Lunenburg’s Bluenose II is a victim of the province’s budget cuts. The iconic ship received $1.2 million in provincial funding a year for operational expenses and crew salaries, but last week’s provincial budgets slashed that by about 20 per cent or $240,000. That has many people on the social media site Reddit taking aim at the Tim Houston government with many saying the cuts to the historic and popular tourist attraction is shortsighted.
