Premier Tim Houston was on defense after returning from his trip to Texas.. There was another protest against government cuts on Friday outside the legislature. Houston missed Question Period on Friday to take meetings with Prime Minister Mark Carney and even though the Opposition Party agreed the PM takes priority, they do criticize the premier for the amount of time he has spent outside of the legislature while trying to pass the provincial budget, saying he is trying to avoid questions. Houston defended his trip to Texas saying it was meant to promote the province and its natural resources to industry.
