The Home Energy Assistance Top-up (HEAT) Fund is now open for 2026 applications. The program provides support to Nova Scotians who need help with home heating expenses. Eligible applicants can receive a one-time payment of up to $400. The program is funded by the province and Nova Scotia Power and is administered by the Salvation Army.
