For the first time, Nova Scotia’s Department of Emergency Management will honour people who enhance emergency services with an award. Up until June 30th, people can be nominated in five categories, including the Minister’s Award for Community Preparedness, the Premier’s Award for Volunteer Excellence, Youth, Partners and Mentorship. The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in the fall.
