China’s 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian lobster and crab imports have been lifted. The country’s finance ministry made the announcement on Saturday. The lifting of the levies will remain in effect until the end of this year. The trade agreement was first reached in January after Canada agreed to import 49,000 Chinese EVs each year at a tariff rate of 6.1 per cent. China is also easing tariffs on Canadian canola and peas.
