Calls for flash flood alert system

Calls are growing for Nova Scotia to implement a flash flood alert system after a child died in severe flooding. This is the second fatal flash flooding occurrence in less than a year. Last week, a child was pulled into a water-filled ditch and their remains were found a few hours later. The flooding was caused by the tail end of hurricane Beryl, which brought heavy rain to parts of Nova Scotia.
