Annual Memorial Christmas Tree

Although we call it a Memorial Tree, tags do not have to be in memory of someone who has passed (2 legged/4legged). It could be a “thinking of you” message; or hope or encouragement for someone going through a challenging time. As messages are read, a lightbulb on the tree will be illuminated.
Your message for the tree tag should include:
Name of the person or animal being remembered.
Short message if you like.
Your name.
For example:
(In memory of John Doe. Always in my heart. Jane Doe)
We encourage a donation of $5 per tag in advance using one of the following options:
1. Phone or text Mona at (902)523-1029
2. e-transfer to waldenfiredepartment@gmail.com
3. Contact a fire department member and they will pass the information along to Mona
The tree will remain lit until January 1 2026.
Please consider making a donation of non-perishable food items for the food bank. There will be a donation box at the hall.
Following the ceremony join us in the Firehall for refreshments and finger food. Donations of snacks are appreciated!
If you are unable to join us in person we will be on Facebook Live around 7.
